An Introduction to Systematic Literature Reviews

This webinar introduced researchers to systematic literature reviews and explored how they can support rigorous research in STEM education. Presenters explained what systematic reviews are, why they are useful for reducing bias when identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing research, and how they differ from meta-analyses.

The webinar explored key considerations for planning a systematic review, including defining research questions and inclusion criteria, searching for and screening relevant studies, coding information, and assessing study quality. The webinar also highlighted ways systematic review methods can help researchers build new knowledge from existing STEM education research.
